Welcome to the Legume-Microbe Interactions Laboratory at the University of Missouri. The laboratory is directed by Professor Gary Stacey, MSMC  Endowed Professor of Soybean Biotechnology. The interests of the laboratory are diverse but have a common theme of plant and microbe development. Click on the research link to learn more about the wide variety of research projects underway. A variety of structural and functional genomic methods are being used to understand the way in which legumes respond to microbial infection.
