Glufosinate (Libery®) injury appears as chlorotic and nectotic tissues on plant parts exposed to the spray. Injury may lead to plant death. If the plant survives, normal growth will resume after several weeks.

A few soybean varieties (Liberty Link®) have been developed using a biotechnology trait that confers resistance to glufosinate (Libery®). Postemergence application to these tolerant varities may cause injury if applied at excessive rates or to plants under stress from disease, high temperatures, or high relative humidity. Injury appears as chlorotic and nectotic tissues on plant parts exposed to the spray. Normal growth should resume within a few weeks.
