Blister beetles have slender bodies up to 3/4 inch long with a prominent head and slender legs. Markings vary with species. The margined blister beetle has black wing covers with gray margins; other species have black, gray or striped wing covers. These foliage feeders seldom cause extensive injury, but they tend to congregate and feed heavily in limited areas along field margins. This pest is found throughout the South and in parts of the Midwest. |
