Shortened internodes and yellowing or reddening of upper leaves are symptoms of boron deficiency in soybeans. Although this deficiency is rare, it can occur in areas of low rainfall and in alkaline or strongly acidic soils. Leafhopper injury and potassium and calcium deficiency produce similar symptoms to those of boron deficiency. |
